Accela Rehabilitation and Care Center at Manalapn was the 12th location where I played. Outside, the center appeared small, but inside was a completely different story; there were hallways upon hallways. We eventually met up with the owner, a kind and enthusiastic woman who appeared content on our arrival. While she led us to the room where I'd be playing, I noticed many hospitalized patients. In my heart, I was reminded that I am here not only to promote my cause but to give them a memorable experience. When we arrived at the location, I noticed the crowd patiently waiting for me. When I was setting up, some of the nurses asked me questions about my cause, which I politely responded to.

When I played, I was so concentrated on the music that I couldn't think of anything else. Although I couldn't understand them, I felt we all got along well and could communicate with them through my music. As I was finishing song after song, I then made a risky decision: I played a brand new song that I'd barely performed. The song was harder than usual, and I made mistakes throughout it. However, I was able to compromise and add a few beats to make it look like I played it right. After I was done, I was receiving donation after donation from both the nurses and the audience. Then, one of the elderly women called me over to have a short conversation. She praised my playing and told me about her son, who majored in music. Out of excitement, she gave me her son's phone number. Today was my most successful performance, and who knows if me and her son will perform together?
