Cranbery Center Nursing Home, Monroe

The Cranbury Center was the tenth location where I played. When my dad and I arrived, one of the kind employees led us to a room, where the patients started to enter one by one. I set up my instrument, but one thing caught my eye: a Korean War veteran. I wanted to talk to him and thank him for his service but knew I had to perform first. I started playing like the usual and nothing went wrong this time. At times, the audience would ask me personal questions while I was switching between songs.

At the end of my performance, I packed up my equipment. When I was done, I looked for the veteran but he and most of the other patients had already left. Despite missing out on such an opportunity, we managed to get one of the employees to try to convince her boss to donate to the fundraiser. The progress we were making seemed like it was becoming exponential. Things were looking good for my journey and the future of the Om Parikh Foundation.
