Village Point Rehabilitation & Healthcare
Monroe
This is exactly what I have been looking for: an engaged audience with whom I can interact and joke. When I started playing, I felt like I was in the flow; there were no secondary thoughts, just me, my music and my audience. Once I finished, I got the biggest praise of my life: several residents asked me about my future and told me that I should pursue music. Additionally, some suggested certain songs and even told me some colleges that specialize in music. At that moment, the only thing in my mind was their barrage of compliments. I left that day optimistic about where my future will take me, keeping their kind words in my heart.
Village Point at Monroe was the sixth location where I played. If I had to pick one performance as the best one, it would be this, solely for the encouragement I received. I arrived at the location on time, and I noticed on the TV screen, that they had a music image on it, as if they were patiently waiting for me to arrive. While I was setting up, one audience member jokingly asked if we were a father-son duo and if we were going to perform together, to which I jokingly said no.
